Dota 2 - The Boston Major

After the sixth edition of Dota 2 International, major dota 2 teams will be setting their sights on Boston as Valve returns with The Dota 2 - Boston Major. The Boston Major, presented by PGL, will take place December 7 – 10, 2016 at Wang Theatre in Boston, USA.


Sixteen teams will battle through a single-elimination playoff bracket in best-of-three matches, with a best-of-five Grand Finals to determine the winner of the $3,000,000 prize pool. Seeding for the Main Event bracket will be determined by the results of Group Stage play on December 3 – 4.

PGL are set to host the Boston Major. Great things are expected from them as they succesfully held the Manila Major in Phillipines, this year.

Dota 2 Roster Changes Post TI 6

Major Dota 2 Team Rosters Post The International 6. Commonly known now as "Dota 2 Fall Shuffle 2016".

Alliance adds Limmp, jonassomfan and Handsken to their roster after the departure of s4 and Akke while AdmiralBullDog moves to the substitutes bench.


EG welcomes back Arteezy to their roster as well as new captain "Crit" from OG. Fear retires and moves to coach position. PPD is no longer part of playing roster.


 Sylar forms part of new EHome lineup as well as garder. Iceiceice moves back to SEA to form Team Faceless. Fenrir also moves away from team.
 

G, ALOHADANCE and Ghostik form part of new Empire roster.


The Dota 2 Roster changes in South East Asia region sees DJ/Chrissy moving back to Phillipines to form part of Execration.


Another Dota 2 powerhouse enters South East Asia? That remains to be seen be with new roster of Team Faceless, lead by IceIceIce who moves to back to his own country from China after a period of 3 years.


Despite a strong run in The International 6, 3 players from Fnatic depart in form of MidOne, 343 and DJ. How much the addition of Raven, Eyyou and Demon fron Execration affects the team performance remains to be seen with a lot of competition added to this region.


The legendary carry Burning is back to his role as position 1 in this new face of Invictus Gaming. A lot of potentional in this team led by drafter of The International 5 Finalist, "Q" of CDEC.

 The people's champ are here once again. Fan favourite Singsing alongwith long time buddy Sexybamboe and bone7 are joined by Fluffnstuff and 33 in team Kaipi.

Xiao8 and Yao are joined by Super, LPC and Monet in LGD.FY.


LGD Maybe is joined in his new stack by 3 young guns from CDEC.Y and Amu, a player from 9k mmr club.


Although Newbee lose Hao, Chaun and MU post TI 6. Will the addition of Sccc, a 9k mmr player heading for 10k alongwith uuu9 and Faith make it big in the coming season?


The only team to win 2 Valve events was hurt most by the roster change. Departure of Amer "Miracle" Barqawi and Crit surely caused a lot of heads to turn. Will the addition of s4, Jerax and Ana undo the dissappointment of TI 6?


Addition of Miracle and Bulba puts Team Liquid as fan favourite heading into the new season of Dota 2, post TI 6. Bulba is back home boys.


EternalEnvy is his new stack in a new role as position 2. Back again with Aui_2000, the player he himself kicked in Cloud9 days. Addition of MSS, svg and 1437, will it work out?

Vici Gaming Reborn becomes Vici Ghost and see only the departure of NoNo. Can they bounce back from their dismal performance in TI 6 despite being one of the invited teams?
